We love our Fabric Design class! So much that when I was thinking about it for summer classes and our Baking Aprons class I thought, what if we combined them! Edible Art! In this class the kids will make a fab little art smock (with pockets, of course). On the second day we will get down to art business and start making our own edible art! From fizzy sherbet and rock candy geodes to hot chocolate playdough and starburst slime we will have tons of fun learning and sewing!

Note: We do keep in mind the allergies and dietary needs of the kids when choosing the edible projects and may need to change the projects based on that.

Supplies List:

Smock:

  •  1.5 yards of cotton. A heavier weight is best so when washed over and over it will not unravel. Duck cotton and outdoor weight cotton are suggested.

      Also Bring:

      • PLEASE dress the kids in clothing that is ok to get paint/dye on. Although we try to keep the kids clean sometimes it does get on the clothing.
      • Lunch and any other snacks or drinks
      • Appropriate outdoor wear for lunch (we sometimes go out and play at the park)

Class Level: This class is for Beginner Kid Sewists ages 7 and up. No previous experience is required.

Finished Project Policy: We want this to be a relaxing experience and although we try very hard to finish in our time together, life happens. If you do not finish in time you are more than welcome to sign up for time during our drop-in studio times to finish up. This will be complimentary and for no charge. Let's have fun and finish!

Cancellation Policy: No refunds are offered for classes or camps. Cancellations received 72 hours before class start, will be able to redistribute their class fees to another class/camp. Cancellations received less than 72 hours before class start or no-shows forfeit their class fees. We are unable guarantee the same class or session will be available for rescheduling. Arriving more than 30 minutes late for class may be a forfeit of class fees.
